The stripboard is tightly packed and there is little room for error. The layout has been designed with external connections in mind.
Molex connectors have been used where possible, making the board much easier to build and install. 'Jmp' is a two-wire connection made directly into the board. The other end of the wire-pair has a Molex connector that connects into sockets by each PICAXE chip. This allows program downloads from the PC to be routed to the PICAXE of choice via a single download socket.
The receiver module is deliberately positioned on the edge of the board to allow direct connection of the Antenna.
